Covid: from today in Sardinia the antigen test is enough for the diagnosis of positivity
The ordinance signed by the President of the Region is valid until March 15, the confirmation of the molecular is instead necessary for patients hospitalized or who must be hospitalized

With an order issued late yesterday evening, starting today and until March 15 in Sardinia, a positive antigen test will be sufficient for the diagnosis of Covid-19 infection. As well as for the activation of the following isolation or quarantine provisions arranged by the Hygiene and Public Health Services.
The document signed by President Christian Solinas comes to shed some light on the various information circulating in recent weeks. Now, however, the question has been settled: the confirmation of the molecular buffer will not be needed.
The only exception concerns patients who are hospitalized or who need to be hospitalized: for this category the diagnosis requires confirmation with molecular.
The rules on antigen tests, it is emphasized, are valid only for those performed by subjects authorized by the Region. And therefore the affiliated pharmacies, public and private, with specific requirements. Self-administered antigen tests will have no value.
The authorized subjects must in any case guarantee the insertion of data in the regional IT systems.
