The Municipality of Olbia has revoked the eviction order addressed, a few weeks ago, to Maria Giovanna Meloni and her partner Giorgio Beccu , the couple under investigation for the alleged murder of the pensioner Rosa Bechere.

The Olbia administration has revoked, under self-protection, the provision with which the couple had been ordered to leave a hovel house in via Aretino.

The building appears to be owned by Area (formerly Iacp) and entrusted in concession to the Municipality of Olbia, Maria Giovanna Meloni and Giorgio Beccu do not have the qualifications to occupy the building (moreover not usable and subject to a redevelopment intervention).

But the couple's lawyer, Giampaolo Murrighile, requested and obtained the revocation of the eviction , because he indicated that the Municipality of Olbia is not the owner of the house and therefore is not entitled to act. The local police had already started the eviction operations, blocked at Murrighile's request.
