The next day seems like any other city council meeting. At Palazzo Bacaredda, like every Tuesday, the Cagliari city council meets.

Almost all the councilors are seated on the majority and opposition benches. The DUP is being discussed. Alessandro Cao, the majority councilor who has found himself at the center of the political debate over a series of alleged thefts from a supermarket , is also present, of course.

One of the most frequent members of the Council, he's still sitting at his desk today. He doesn't speak to journalists, but with a gesture he makes it clear that this isn't the right time. He already did so on Monday evening in a post to reiterate: "I'm innocent."

Mayor Massimo Zedda, however, does so, reiterating that "this is a private matter that has nothing to do with the administration. What we know comes from press sources. If it had been matters pertaining to the administration, I would have been able to investigate further from within. I hope there are ways to demonstrate, as you told me, your lack of involvement in the facts."
