Via Dettori has been a deserted construction site for two months. The Marina road closed after the January collapses is still cordoned off.

Open excavations, open pipes and neighborhood at the mercy of thugs. Traders and residents are also desperate because there is no news of the recovery. This is confirmed by Alessandro Olisterno , owner of the Maverick , a restaurant in via Baylle close to the metal fences that surround the unsafe area: «We have been abandoned in all respects . Having the civic in via Baylle we have not received regional aid, which was then passed on to the municipality. This is a difficult year for us, because the blocked pedestrian crossing greatly affects our earnings».

The expert appointed by the Court, Fausto Mistretta, will shortly file his report , but it will take time to establish the responsibilities and the amount of damages which will amount to tens of millions of euros . In the meantime, it would be advisable to secure the area and reopen the road.
