Coach and former footballer Fausto Salsano (Sampdoria, Roma, and Parma, among other teams) appeared today in Tempio Pausania before Judge Maria Elena Lai to defend himself against charges brought by the Gallura Prosecutor's Office regarding alleged building violations. The indictment details several alleged violations found at a villa in Porto Cervo, in the Pevero area.

Salsano, represented by lawyer Carlotta Messeri, is said to have completed work (a terrace and a converted bathroom space) on a portion of the building that had already been the subject of a report by the Arzachena Municipality's anti-illegal building office and a demolition order.

Also under investigation is a Luogosanto technician , represented by lawyers Ezia Orecchioni and Massimo Perra, who is accused of incorrectly reporting the property to the Land Registry . The documents reveal that Salsano has not owned the property for some time, and it's unclear whether he commissioned the illegal construction or whether other individuals should be implicated. This will be one of the themes of the trial. Salsano (for many years Roberto Mancini's right-hand man) has served on the coaching staff of Inter Milan, Manchester City, Galatasaray, Zenit St. Petersburg, and the national teams of Italy (European champions in 2021) and Saudi Arabia.
