Trade unions have launched a new offensive against the Region over healthcare . The Cisl Gallura union , along with its leaders, has taken a stand and called for immediate intervention from the regional government, citing a situation of chaos and unfulfilled commitments.
Secretaries Bruno Brandano and Vittorio Masu, CISL Gallura and CISL FP Gallura, speak of a "betrayed path" and explain: "On August 4, 2025, an important agreement was signed in Cagliari between the confederal trade unions and the Presidency of the Sardinia Region. That Memorandum established a mutual commitment to build structured and permanent union relations and to produce concrete results for Sardinian public healthcare. Today, seven months after that signing, we find ourselves faced with a situation that contradicts the spirit of that agreement. After the decision that called into question the appointment framework and after weeks of delays, tensions, and conflicts, the Gallura Local Health Authority continues to experience a state of uncertainty that prevents the full functioning of corporate governance. What we are witnessing is clear for all to see: an internal political struggle that has transformed appointments to top healthcare levels into a battleground. A war of positions that has nothing to do with the needs of Gallura patients, with the working conditions of healthcare workers, with the quality of care provided."

THE REQUESTS – These are the requests addressed to the Region: the issue of the general management of the Gallura Local Health Authority (ASL) must be resolved and made fully operational without further delay, because those responsible for governing the Region must make clear decisions and fully support them; the Region and local institutions must ensure, in view of the summer season, an extraordinary plan for Gallura, with particular attention to strengthening emergency and urgency services, emergency rooms, staffing, and community medicine; the commitments made in the Protocol of August 4, 2025, must be respected in substance, not just in declarations, because the confederate union intends to be an active participant in the discussion and development of solutions.
