Carbonia, the white bench is born in memory of the victims at work

The white bench in memory of the victims of work was born in Carbonia . In fact, today, in Piazza del Minatore, a white bench was inaugurated in memory of the so-called "white deaths". The initiative was organized by ANMIL in collaboration with the Municipality.

The event is part of the 80th anniversary of the National Association of Mutilated and War Invalid Workers to celebrate its incessant commitment to supporting work victims and preventing accidents .

The data on accidents published by INAIL find that from January to July 2023 the toll of deaths at work is still dramatic . Carbonia also suffered the loss of precious working and human resources. The last white death occurred on June 27th, when a young family man lost his life while he was working on his farm. One of the many silent victims at work, who will be remembered with the white bench in Piazza del Minatore.
