A crowd of designers, including architects, engineers, surveyors, urban planners and the companies responsible for the intervention, met in Carbonia in front of the former power plant of the Great Serbariu mine , a historic building born even before the city when the large mining compendium, to plan the upcoming historical rehabilitation works .

In fact , 14 million euros are foreseen for a new massive renovation and renovation campaign of a series of buildings that have made the history of the mining complex. Among which the former power plant stands out, a monumental building which, however, is unfortunately in completely precarious conditions.

Coordinated by the municipal administration, companies and technicians will have to establish the work plan at this point. The works are expected to begin in the next few days in the former lamp factory where the Coal Museum curated by the Italian Coal Culture Center has been located for many years.

Within a couple of months, work will also begin for the complete restoration of the large former power plant which, powered by coal, was a fundamental infrastructure in the years of the mining epic.
