A 35-year-old from Carbonia was arrested this morning by the Carabinieri of the San Giovanni Suergiu Station, supported by the Radiomobile unit of Carbonia. The man, unemployed, is accused of violating the prohibition of approach, a measure issued last October 3 by the Court of Cagliari to protect his ex.
The woman had reported him after months of persecution. Since December of last year, she said, she had been repeatedly threatened, harassed and insulted by the 35-year-old . Numerous episodes that had caused fear for her safety.
Hence the electronic bracelet to protect the victim and ensure her safety by preventing the man from approaching her.
But last night the 35-year-old removed the device and called his ex, accusing her of destroying it, causing him "unjust" damage .
