Carbonia, fire in a car scrapyard: flames visible from miles away

A large fire broke out around 10pm yesterday in Via Nazionale in Carbonia.

The flames affected a car wrecking business located on state road 126 near the PIP area.

Very high flames and thick smoke visible for kilometres away affected some carcasses of cars stored awaiting demolition .

On site are the Fire Brigade of Carbonia and Iglesias, who will have to ascertain the causes, also present are the Carabinieri with a patrol of the radiomobile.
