The judge for the preliminary hearings of Cagliari, Elisabetta Patrito, accepted the request of the public prosecutor Danilo Tronci ordering the indictment of Paolo Secci, of Carbonia, accused of death as a consequence of another crime, sale of drugs and vilification of a corpse, for the death of Sebastian Casula .

The trial will start on October 3 before the judges of the first criminal section of the Cagliari court. Paolo Secci, defended by the lawyer Michela Zanda, is the only one left of the various suspects by the prosecution during the investigations following the discovery of the body of the young man from Carbonia who allegedly died of an overdose. According to the indictment, whoever sold him the drugs also orchestrated a staging to simulate a suicide.

Sebastian Casula, a 39-year-old from Carbonia, had disappeared on 11 July 2017 and was found hanged from a tree three days later in the pine forest of Monte Leone.

The carabinieri of Cagliari, on the orders of the prosecutor, searched Secci's apartment and seized various objects.

The victim's family is defended by the lawyer Gianfranco Piscitelli who has filed a civil action.

"I hope it all ends as soon as possible - the civil party lawyer said at the end of the preliminary hearing - mother Francesca Sanna is worn out by pain after six years".
