The summary trial at the Court of Cagliari regarding the arrest of a 45-year-old resident of Carbonia, which occurred yesterday, has just concluded.

The judge, after having validated the arrest and granted the terms for the defense, ordered the suspect to sign in.

The man had been stopped by the Carabinieri of the Carbonia Radiomobile Unit, assisted by the staff of the local Police Station, who had intervened at his home following the report of a violent family fight with his mother. Upon their arrival, the soldiers found the man drunk: they tried to identify him, but the 45-year-old resisted by pushing them.

The Carabinieri managed to immobilize him with difficulty and get him into the service car to take him to the barracks. Here he again reacted violently, kicking the right door, bending the pillar and breaking the window . Only after having calmed him down did the soldiers transfer him to the holding cells, where he spent the night awaiting the validation hearing.

"The intervention of the police forces - the Carabinieri announced - made it possible to avoid further escalations of violence and to guarantee the safety of the cohabiting mother, who was in a state of great concern. The provision of the obligation to sign, ordered by the judge, represents a precautionary measure aimed at monitoring and controlling the actions of the suspect, pending the next judicial developments".
