The violence apparently arose for trivial reasons, during a confrontation between the two. According to what has been reconstructed, the man physically attacked his partner, a 41-year-old resident of Carbonia, causing personal injuries that could be healed with a few days of rest.

Alerted by a call to 112, the military from the Carbonia Radiomobile Unit intervened on site. The man, already known to the police, was arrested and placed under house arrest. After the validation of the arrest, the judicial authority also ordered him to be banned from approaching the places frequented by the victim.
