Attempted theft gone wrong for a 58-year-old unemployed man with no fixed abode, arrested in flagrante delicto this morning in Cagliari in the Is Mirrionis neighborhood. He was trying to steal some objects from a house, but was noticed by the owner: a 64-year-old pensioner, who immediately called the Single Emergency Number 112 and warned that there was someone, furtively, who was wandering around the area of her home with the aim of stealing some materials.
The description received by the Carabinieri was adequate for an immediate intervention. The soldiers, who arrived immediately on the scene, surprised the suspect while he was trying to steal some objects. Once discovered, the fifty-eight-year-old tried to make an escape but was stopped in a short time and made safe .
After identification, it emerged that he already had a police record. The victim, still shaken by the incident, formalized the complaint . The arrested man was taken to the Villanova command for the formal procedures, then to the Court for the trial with a direct procedure.
