A massacre. Many places in the historic center of Cagliari have ended up under the axe of the local police this summer because of the tables and the noise. Some pubs have been closed even just because they had a blackboard with the offers of the day or a few chairs outside the perimeter of the municipal concession.

Finding an agreement between residents and business owners won't be easy , but on one aspect they all seem to agree: the rigidity of the regulation . The consequences for transgressors seem truly exaggerated and can lead to the revocation of the license and blocking of the tables for 18 months and to fines with four figures.

The issue in the Chamber

The topic will be discussed today during the City Council . The Urban Planning Councilor Matteo Lecis Cocco Ortu, will answer a question from Giuseppe Farris on the Noise Remediation Plan and Concessions. "The regulation is too rigid, there is no doubt that it must be updated to suit everyone," the councilor anticipates. "Clearly, a balance must be found between the managers of commercial activities and residents."
