New orange alert bulletin for heat waves in the Sardinian capital for tomorrow Friday 27 June. In addition, the fire risk alert code orange (high danger) has also been confirmed in the Cagliari area.

The warning, classified as “level 2” , foresees weather conditions that may represent a risk to the health of the population, in particular for the most vulnerable groups such as the elderly, children and people with chronic pathologies.

According to forecasts, temperatures felt in Cagliari could reach 36°C, making specific precautions necessary to avoid heat stroke, dehydration and other heat-related ailments.

The Civil Protection Service of the Municipality of Cagliari, in coordination with the Ministry of Health, the Italian Red Cross and the National Civil Protection Department, has released a series of self-protection measures. Among the main recommendations: avoid direct exposure to the sun during the hottest hours of the day, drink plenty of water, wear light clothing and protect domestic environments from heat.

Further indications and guidelines for dealing with high temperatures are available on the official channels of the Municipality and the entities involved . The orange alert represents the second level on a scale of three and signals conditions of real risk to health.
