Nineteen irregularities. Sixteen so serious as to determine, each one, the detention of the ship. These are the reasons that led the Coast Guard to seize a merchant ship docked at the port channel of Cagliari .

The flag is Panamanian, while the crew is made up of 25 Cubans.

Just over 22,000 gross tons, 170 meters long, built 12 years ago, the ship, which departed from Mexico, arrived on March 21 for commercial operations: the landing of 30,000 tons of fluorine.

The harbor master's office checks were carried out yesterday: the aim was to verify the general safety conditions and the living and working conditions of the crews on board. The administrative detention order was triggered after a careful and in-depth inspection.

At the disposal of the Captaincy, the merchant vessel will not be able to leave until the necessary safety conditions on board have been re-established.
