The “thawing of the glaciers” is the theme chosen for the nativity scene created this year in the basement of San Giovanni di Dio in Cagliari , and which will be open to visitors today and on 7, 8 and 9 January, from 4 to 7 pm.
Admission is free and open to all.
The chosen theme aims to raise public awareness and draw attention to the importance of climate change.
The nativity scene , curated by the Mariposa Association, will be animated by various settings on a journey into the fascinating North Pole with its conquerors Roald Amunsden and Umberto Nobile, accompanied by lights, entertainment and information points.
The visits could be an opportunity not only to admire the beauty and magic of the nativity scene, but also to discover the history of the air-raid shelter of the oldest hospital in Cagliari .
