Cagliari, nurse insulted and beaten in the emergency room

Insulted, threatened and struck several times by the father of a young patient awaiting treatment.

The victim of the attack, which took place at the Brotzu hospital in Cagliari, is a nurse on duty in the pediatric emergency room, as reported by Diego Murracino, regional manager of the Nursing Up union.

"The leaders of the Nursing Up union express closeness and solidarity to the nurse victim of yet another aggression and firmly ask that health personnel be able to work in safe and protected environments" explains Murracino. Adding: "The nurse, the doctor and the others. health workers who guarantee the health service's stability are confronted daily with a thousand critical issues and need the collaboration and understanding of users ".

Murracino then launches an appeal to the Brotzu Directorate General asking for "the implementation of a security plan against aggression and the activation of a 24-hour police station in the emergency room".
