More squares and more days: the widespread New Year's Eve returns to Cagliari and the end-of-year party is divided into four.

No superstars but it will be a widespread party with stages in four squares (Yenne/Largo, San Giacomo, Garibaldi, bastione Santa croce). Via Roma still off limits due to the construction site. The highlight will be in Piazza Yenne where for the New Year's Eve party the Municipality chooses an artist of national or international level.

But the celebrations will begin in the previous days: from December 30th to January 1st, events and shows are planned in all the squares (except Piazza Yenne for traffic reasons).
Big news this year, for the first time the party is extended to sponsors who will be able to improve the quality of the offer and the economic value.

Island artists will have a lot of space. Cost: about 300 thousand euros (half of which is provided by the Region). The hope is that Cagliari will be attractive for some sponsors who already organize events related to music and will further increase the quality offer of the New Year's Eve.
The Municipality is also moving for Christmas: from December 8th, events and musical and entertainment shows are planned in all the main shopping streets of the city. Not only in the center: events and shows are also planned in Pirri.

"Activities are planned along the commercial streets of the center with entertainment and animation initiatives, especially musical, in acoustic, said the Councilor for Culture Maria Francesca Chiappe. "The call for tenders on the illuminations was also successful, we are completing the bureaucratic procedures: the streets are those that were indicated in the call for tenders, but we are evaluating an expansion with integrations also in other streets of the city".
