Cagliari celebrates Maria Barbara Attene, who turns 105 today. Born in Cuglieri on December 28, 1919, she moved to the capital in 1960 and is the mother of three children - two boys and a girl - as well as great-grandmother of little Elena, who is now six years old. To celebrate this special day, the party was also attended by the president of the city council, Marco Benucci, who gave Mrs. Attene a commemorative parchment and a commemorative medal, bringing greetings and good wishes from mayor Massimo Zedda and the entire city administration.

"Maria Barbara Attene is a precious witness to over a century of history, culture and traditions of the city, and not only that.
