A 75-year-old man from Villaggio Pescatori, a village in Cagliari, had a tough time this afternoon . He suddenly fell ill at home, then called for help. But while waiting for the emergency services to arrive, a young woman who works for the Soccorso Uta association, who lives a few steps away, came to his aid. The girl had the foresight to use the public life-saving device, made available two years ago by the I Sardi Soccorso association , which was in a case in the little square next to the church and proved to be essential.
So he performed the first resuscitation maneuvers that averted the worst. Two ambulances then intervened on the spot: one medicalized transported the seventy-five-year-old to the hospital. In red code, given the situation, but still alive.
