Once again, in the Villanova neighborhood of Cagliari, we have to deal with a road closed for urgent work following the breakage of a sewer pipe. Last Friday it happened in via Lanusei , today a few meters higher up halfway along via Eleonora d'Arborea: an infiltration caused the collapse of a sewer pipe at the height of the intersection with via San Lucifero.
The workers, after the report received from Abbanoa, intervened around 1 pm and had to close via Eleonora d'Arborea from the intersection with via Lanusei to the one with via San Lucifero. Cars coming from the latter road can still reach the mandatory right turn and continue towards via Iglesias . Where, in turn, it is necessary to turn right because a road ahead is closed for the redevelopment work on the water network .
The work is expected to be completed by today. Inconvenience is inevitable, especially for those coming from via Lanusei: there are no alternatives to going down to via Carbonia and via Logudoro and then having to go back up via San Lucifero . An endless loop, also due to the one-way streets in the neighborhood, which if in via Eleonora d'Arborea will be completed in a few hours will continue for a long time in the rest of Villanova, waiting for the maintenance on the water network (long overdue) to be completed.
