He died after five days in the intensive care unit of the Brotzu hospital: Maurizio Orrù, 63 years old from Sant'Elia, was hit last Thursday in viale San Bartolomeo in Cagliari .

The injuries sustained in the impact with a Smart car were too serious: the man had been rushed to hospital and his condition was immediately very critical.

Orrù, according to an initial reconstruction by the Local Police who carried out the investigations, was crossing the road in the section that leads to Viale Calamosca, immediately after the roundabout with Via Borgo Sant'Elia: the Smart - driven by an 80-year-old - hit him.

Rescue was immediate but there was nothing that could be done for Orrù: he was immediately transferred to the intensive care unit and this morning his heart stopped beating. A person known in the Sant'Elia neighborhood who many are now crying.

The conditions of Licia Mocci, 61 years old, originally from Riola Sardo but resident in Zeddiani, remain very serious and desperate : the woman was hit by a car on Sunday in front of the old Sant'Elia stadium, after the match between Cagliari and Roma. Taken to hospital, she is admitted to intensive care.
