The "I Principi di Dan" tavern-winery in the Marina, in Cagliari , closes after 12 years. That of one of the owners, Massimo Mazzei, is a bitter farewell. Because it is the context, the neighborhood, that has turned into a "withered showpiece".

A long post speaks of a Marina "devastated by so many bad decisions, ruined by so many wrong choices, managed in an indecorous manner by so many administrations, frequented by gangs of unsupervised kids". And again: «A Marina left alone, closed roads and collapsing buildings, abandoned to moral and material degradation, with a separate collection system that cannot be proposed for the activities, with the streets with the greatest traffic closed all at the same time for work, a Marina left to its fate by a handful of incompetents who tore it to shreds».

The restaurant in via Napoli is a few meters from the cordoned-off area of via Dettori, the tables are - until next Friday, the last day of activity - next to piazza Santo Sepolcro. Our thoughts go to "all my colleagues who continue to work and believe that soon someone will understand the value of such a precious asset for Cagliari and its inhabitants".
