Alarm last night for a violent brawl in Piazza Matteotti in Cagliari . Ten people involved , with a young man who ended up on the ground and was repeatedly kicked and punched.

The local police intervened immediately, scaring off those present and arresting two people : one of the attackers and the boy who was being beaten. Both had obvious injuries, one in particular with lacerated and contused lesions to the face and back. The 118 staff also arrived on site with two ambulances.

One of the two men initially refused medical assistance and was taken to the Command for the usual formalities, while the second was accompanied to the hospital and guarded by the agents. After the medical checks and discharge, he too was accompanied to the Regional Cabinet of the Scientific Police for photo-signalling and identification.
The two, both of Algerian nationality, aged 27 and 18 , were reported at large for the crimes of brawling and personal injury, and were subsequently released.
