Two precautionary prison sentences have been issued for the attack that occurred last December outside the private club "Buddha Amici" on Via Aldo Marongiu, opposite the Cagliari cemetery. Yesterday, the State Police executed the warrants issued by the Cagliari Court's investigating judge against two men, aged 42 and 46. The incidents date back to December 6, 2025, when an argument escalated into a violent attack on a fifty-year-old man.

According to investigators from the Third Section of the Flying Squad, the 42-year-old allegedly struck the victim with a cleaver, while the 46-year-old participated in the attack wielding an iron rod . The man suffered serious injuries, estimated to heal in 45 days: a deep cut to his left arm with tendon damage and a fracture, other stab wounds, and fractures to his nasal septum and jaw. Emergency transported to the Brotzu Hospital in Cagliari, the 50-year-old underwent delicate tendon reconstruction in the hand surgery department.

The investigation, coordinated by the Cagliari Public Prosecutor's Office, was conducted through the analysis of video surveillance footage and testimonies collected, allowing officers to reconstruct the events of the attack and identify the alleged perpetrators. The 42-year-old man is in a particularly serious situation. At the time of the December 6 attack, he was already under house arrest for another investigation by the Flying Squad into a criminal syndicate operating out of an illegal club on Via Tiepolo. In that case, he was being investigated for drug dealing, aggravated theft, and robbery. The warrant issued yesterday evening orders both men to be held in prison: the 46-year-old was located at his home, while the 42-year-old was served the order directly in prison.
