The Sardinian sea port authority wants to build a new check point in the Cagliari airport and is also in a hurry. So much, that the dates are wrong.

The executive project for the construction of the structure that will serve as a filter for the accesses to the Sant'Agostino pier, dedicated to passenger traffic, was approved in June. In recent days, the tender for the design and execution of the works was published: on the plate there are one million and 800 thousand euros.

"In anticipation of the considerable increase in users expected in the next summer season", reads the tender documents, "the structure assumes strategic importance in the management of security checks for passengers in transit in the port of Cagliari and, therefore, the works they must be completed by July of the year 2022 ".

It is easy to assume that whoever drew up the specifications meant 2023. The deed was filed in the early days of the month: the companies concerned (the one presenting the most economically advantageous bid wins) had twenty days to come forward.

A project, that of the check point, which joins the redevelopment of Piazza Matteotti planned by the Municipality and that of the rebirth of the maritime station, managed by the port authority.
