The body of Marco Pusceddu, the fifty-year-old from Portoscuso killed by gunshots on the evening of August 8th in Buddusò , will be returned to his family this morning at the headquarters of the Intervol association – where he worked as a 118 emergency worker – in via Pietro Nenni.
The autopsy, ordered by Sassari Deputy Prosecutor Elisa Succu, concluded late yesterday evening, confirming what was immediately discovered by the Carabinieri of the Ozieri station – coordinated by the investigative unit of the Sassari command – who intervened shortly after the murder in the town of Monteacuto: four gunshots, fired at close range with a small caliber pistol, struck Pusceddu between the neck and chest, causing his death .
The funeral will be held in Portoscuso, where Pusceddu's parents live. Meanwhile, investigations continue to identify the perpetrator and the motive. Investigators are scrutinizing images from surveillance cameras installed in the area near the Intervol headquarters , which did not have its own cameras. These images could reveal the identity of the unmasked killer, who walked to Via Pietro Nenni and then fled, presumably in a car.
The Carabinieri have a complete sketch of the killer, but they're also looking for possible accomplices in this crime that left Buddusò and Portoscuso speechless . Investigators are also examining the victim's past, including her personal and romantic life.
