The landslide that has been affecting the SS 129 bis at km 25 , between Suni and Bosa, has become a local political issue. The gravity of the situation has been denounced by Angelo Masala , provincial and municipal councilor of Bosa, Giovanni Antonio Zucca , president of the Union of Municipalities of Planargia and mayor of Flussio, Massimo Falchi , the mayor of Suni, and Giovanni Maria Milia , the mayor of Modolo, who describe the situation as now unsustainable. The massive and constantly evolving landslide has caused a narrowing of the roadway, forcing traffic to travel in a single lane. This situation, the administrators explain, is no longer tolerable. " The stability of the current road is of enormous concern to us," states Angelo Masala, "as traffic, including heavy vehicles, is all concentrated in a single lane. During the last holiday weekend, we experienced dangerous slowdowns, especially at night, on a stretch that is already critical due to the presence of curves ."

The mayor of Suni, Massimo Falchi , agrees, emphasizing that the landslide is just the tip of the iceberg. "The 129 is a key artery for the Planargia," he notes. "If that stretch gives way, the area risks isolation. We can't afford to wait too long; immediate, structural interventions are needed ." The president of the Union of Municipalities, Giovanni Antonio Zucca , draws attention to the overall context. " The road system in the area is already a disaster. The connection between central Sardinia and the coast is compromised by years of delays and unfinished work. This landslide risks worsening an already critical situation ."

Modolo's situation is also particularly delicate, as Mayor Giovanni Maria Milia explains. " Our town," he emphasizes, "is effectively isolated. Two landslides are blocking the main access points, and the situation is worsening week by week. It's not just a mobility issue, but a social, economic, and security one ." The administrators also draw attention to the state of the Sindia ring road, completely damaged and made dangerous by crater-like potholes , and the Bosa–Alghero road, for which the structural work is still awaiting planning. " With the arrival of tourist flows, the situation could worsen," the four administrators declare. " It's not just a question of traffic, but of ensuring public safety and the right of citizens and visitors to travel safely ."
