Caught drilling the cliff in the Sic area (Site of Community Interest) in the territory of Baunei: three were stopped and reported, thanks to the intervention of the men of the Barracellare company engaged in a control operation of the territory.

The mayor of the town, Stefano Monni, tells the story: «On a daily basis the Barracellare company takes care of enforcing the regulations that protect our territory». Like yesterday, when, «and it is not the first time, some gentlemen, appropriately sanctioned, were “drilling” our mountains. Everyone is welcome in our territory. We only ask for respect».

Moreover, the mayor continues, «since we are in a SIC area (Natura 2000 network), for the protection of protected species, these activities (positioning of flying cables, opening of new climbing routes, bolting of existing climbing routes, etc.), without obtaining the necessary administrative authorizations - among which there is the Impact Assessment - are illegitimate, abusive and dangerous».
