Bad weather hit Sardinia throughout the day, with a perturbation that moved from the southwest to the northeast, causing damage and flooding.

The first concerns arose in Fluminimaggiore: here in the morning a storm led to the flooding of a tributary of the Rio Mannu, which flooded the streets with water and mud. State Road 128, which runs through the country, was closed.

Downstream, a kiosk on the beach of Portixeddu, in the Buggerru area, was swept away by the force of the Rio Mannu flood and ended up in the sea (in the video above). The structure was completely destroyed and a giant brown patch of debris was created in front of the shore.

In the evening there were further inconveniences also in some streets of Iglesias.

In the evening the rains moved towards the upper Gallura. In Luras a chasm opened up in a central street of the town, in Tempio the intervention of the municipal civil protection was necessary to deal with some major floods, which also affected the town of Sant'Antonio di Gallura.
