The orange weather alert in Sardinia has been extended, with a new warning just made official by the Civil Protection after the one issued yesterday . The bad weather gives no respite in Holy Week, with the rains continuing a few days before Easter.

Moderate criticality (orange code) for hydrogeological risk in Sassari, Oristano and Logudoro, with yellow code for hydraulic risk . In all other areas ordinary criticality, with yellow code. The most intense phenomena, in the three areas with orange alert, are expected in particular from 6 pm today to 6 am tomorrow.

"From the central hours of today", the Civil Protection reports, and until the first part of tomorrow, widespread rains are expected on Sardinia, mainly stratiform. The cumulative rainfall in the 24 hours will generally be moderate or locally high, but could be up to locally very high on the central northern sectors of the island ".
