Cagliari's Via Machiavelli is infested with cockroaches: "A disaster we don't deserve."
Numerous insects on the sidewalk: "They're in front of the nursery. The cleaning promised by the city? Never done."There are many of them, they move quickly. And it can't be said that they're pretty to look at. Cockroaches, some of them just starting to take off: this is what Carlo Orrù captured with his smartphone last night on Via Machiavelli, in Cagliari.
"This is my house," she explains in the footage. And then she adds: "The doors" visible in the video "are from the nursery school, which is full of children every day. We're being overrun, and it's getting worse."
The sidewalks, the resident explains, "are thick with dirt; they haven't been cleaned in years. The sanitization announced by the city council for August 27th has never been done . The city council is absent. Urban decorum is just talk and announcements. A disaster we don't deserve."
