At the helm of the parish for 50 years: Muravera celebrates Don Emilio Manca

Fifty years at the helm of the parish of Muravera. Don Emilio Manca, parish priest of the town since 1972, celebrated them this evening with a mass in the church square. There were many priests who, surprisingly, were present to greet him.
Don Emilio thanked everyone by expressing "passionate esteem for my parish".
The mayor Salvatore Piu, present together with the deputy mayor Cristiana Sogliano, gave him a commemorative plaque. Don Emilio, 82, was ordained a priest in 1966.
