The international scientific project that could transform the face of Sardinia has been talked about for a few years, but it is never enough.
Beyond By Now aims to shorten the distance between young people and innovation, to help build a local ecosystem capable of retaining talent, vision and ambition. This is why the seminar “Capturing the Cosmos/Overcoming Borders” is aimed primarily at high school and university students, scheduled for tomorrow from 9:45 to 13:00 in the spaces of ExMaTER in via Zanfarino in Sassari.
At the center of the meeting is the Einstein Telescope, the ambitious European project dedicated to the study of gravitational waves. The Sos Enattos site in Lula is among the main candidates to host the infrastructure that can give Sardinia a leading role in the international scientific scene as well as creating 36 thousand jobs, as estimated.
Prominent figures from the academic and institutional world will be speaking: the former rector of the University of Sassari Massimo Carpinelli, now director of EGO (European Gravitational Observatory); Domenico D'Urso, scientific director for Italy of the Einstein Telescope; Luca Deidda, Professor of Economics at the University of Sassari; Giacomo Spissu, President of the Fondazione di Sardegna. Representing Beyond By Now, President Mauro Pisano and Vice President Luca Giau, promoters of the initiative.
