She landed at Alghero's “Riviera del Corallo” airport with 47 heroin eggs, 6 in her backpack and 41 in her stomach.
The protagonist is a woman of Nigerian origin, arrested red-handed by the soldiers of the Guardia di Finanza on charges of possession and transport of drugs.
The woman, who disembarked from a flight from Milan Malpensa, during the routine checks of the financiers on arrival in Sardinia immediately showed evident signs of tension that led the military to deepen the investigation, which gave a positive result.
The inspection of the backpack and the personal search made it possible to find 6 eggs containing heroin brown sugar, a particular quality of substance produced largely in the mountainous regions between Pakistan and Afghanistan.
The woman was then accompanied to a hospital in the Catalan town for further investigations and subsequent clinical and diagnostic tests revealed the presence in the body of an additional 41 ingested eggs containing a total of about 600 grams of the same drug.
The drug found was subjected to seizure, while the woman was arrested in the act of committing a crime on charges of possession and transport of drugs.
By order of the magistrate on duty of the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Sassari, the arrested woman was immediately taken to the Bancali prison, at the disposal of the judicial authority.
