Bad weather in Alghero has also created problems for the operation of the Riviera del Corallo airport.
The morning flights from Rome Fiumicino and Milan Linate, both of the Ita Airways company, were diverted to the Olbia-Costa Smeralda airport.
The first was supposed to touch the Fertilia runway at 10.05, while the connection from Milan was expected at 10.08. But the prohibitive weather conditions, especially due to the strong winds, forced the pilots to bring the aircraft to the Gallura airport.
