At 211 kilometers per hour on the Sassari-Alghero highway, stopped after a chase

A car that was travelling like a missile, on the Sassari-Alghero highway at 211 km per hour .

The traffic police officers, engaged in checks with the Telelaser, ordered the driver to stop, but he continued on his way and was stopped a few kilometres further on .

The officers later discovered that the man had not only broken the speed limit – and not by a small amount – but was also driving without insurance .

The driver was then charged with violations of the Highway Code for speeding by more than 60 km/h over the legal limit and driving without insurance. For both violations , his license was suspended and the vehicle was seized .
