Miracles are accepted, because time is short and the desire to get fit for the summer grows as the weeks go by and as the infamous swimsuit test approaches: so, with the arrival of spring, here are the gyms stormed . Because if in many cases the "test" has been passed by the culture of body positive and conscious fitness, in some sections of the population the bogeyman remains.

«From April onwards there has been a boom in registrations », says Veronica Melis, instructor at the Himalaya gym in Su Planu, in Cagliari, «often these are people who have never exercised, trying to lose five to eight kilos: they start with a thousand workouts, they say "I'm not eating anything" and hope to have immediate results ». Wrong approach, calm is preached and it is recommended to avoid improvisations and drastic diets: «It is important to rely on a nutritionist . Initially, training can be fine even three times a week ».

It is mainly women who begin the journey close to summer, while men «either are regulars, or don't train even now». But in particular, the new members are of a specific age range: «Usually they are over fifty years old. From this point of view, the new generations are more aware, they know that time is needed and they go to the gym more consistently».
