In the last few hours, an asphalt resurfacing operation was carried out, which however evidently did not hold up. A sudden collapse of the road surface caused a pothole in the initial part of via Pola in Cagliari, immediately after the intersection with viale Trieste. Work had just been carried out on that very spot. The spot had been asphalted this morning, then it sank around 2 pm.

On site the Carabinieri of the Stampace station, who proceeded to divert traffic in via Carloforte while waiting for the arrival of the workers of the Municipality of Cagliari, immediately alerted to repair the pothole. No damage to people or cars was reported. Traffic then resumed regularly in via Pola after the area was cordoned off. The municipal technicians are working to restore the asphalt as soon as possible, the work is scheduled for tomorrow morning.
