The variant to the Hydrogeological Structure Plan (PAI) approved by the Arzachena Municipal Council , with the census of all bridges, road and railway crossings, which will finally be absorbed by the regional general plan with considerable advantages for the protection of the community in case of emergencies hydraulic and hydrogeological .

"Today we approve a variant of the hydrogeological plan designed to safeguard human lives and property in our area and which, for the first time, affects the regional general plan, modifying and integrating it on the basis of the real state of danger detected in Arzachena - says the mayor Roberto Ragnedda -. A path of responsibility started in 2019 by a municipal administration that wanted and wants to be aware of the risks and peculiarities of the place in order to act promptly in case of need. Thus we conclude a long and cumbersome procedure which delivers to citizens a fundamental document, which must be seen as an instrument of protection and opportunity thanks to which they can become aware of which are the most critical areas on which it is necessary to intervene ».

«A substantial aspect of the new legislation concerns the possibility of opening a period for collecting observations from citizens to make any further additions or changes to the approved variant. We therefore have the possibility of entering into the specifics of particular situations thanks to which we can map the situation in an even more capillary way in the 220 square kilometers on which Arzachena extends - explains Alessandro Malu, councilor for urban planning -. From the moment of publication in the praetorian register of the approval resolution, thirty days elapse for submitting observations through proposals and projects. This opportunity was not foreseen in the past."

The study launched in 2014 by the Criteria team of professionals was completed, for example, with the mapping of risk and priorities in the event of an emergency through individual intervention sheets of the works necessary for the safety of the territory and the related economic needs.
