Illegal occupation of the coast of the Principe beach in Arzachena , where the Municipality has identified and reported to the Port Authority an operator authorized exclusively to rent on request who instead occupied the beachfront in advance in the seafront places from 8 am , while instead, in in these cases, the positioning of the beds is allowed only after the customer has purchased the service.

After the investigations by the Coast Guard , the operator was therefore fined with a fine of over one thousand euros .

"The Municipality of Arzachena is committed to protecting the coasts and helping to ensure the correct use of the beaches in collaboration with the Coast Guard Harbor Office", explains a note from the municipality.

"We are experiencing various abuses on the coasts of Arzachena and Costa Smeralda that often see the rules for the use of the state property and the rules on the concession of spaces or those on street vending being broken", explains the councilor for State and Urban Planning, Alessandro Malu .

"But the collaboration with the local offices of Porto Cervo and Cannigione, directed respectively by the Capitaneria of Golfo Aranci and of La Maddalena, is fundamental to repress abuses and guarantee bathers the right to use the beach freely, even outside the concessions ".
