He has crossed the finish line of four trials (three acquittals) and continues to explain to the judges that he uses marijuana to cure himself.

Mario Olianas, 40, from Arzachena , was once again before the Tempio investigating judge , accused of possession of a kilo of drugs and 24 indica cannabis plants, which grew luxuriantly in the garden in 2019. Olianas has been cultivating cannabis for therapeutic purposes for years: it does so deliberately, does not hide and claims it.

The man, assisted by the lawyer Maria Assunta Argiolas, does not deny anything, once again he explained his choice to cultivate and use cannabis for treatment: «I am not a drug dealer, I do not sell marijuana. I use it to heal myself and I don't buy it from drug dealers. I grow it."

As emerges from the documents of the umpteenth trial he underwent (celebrated with the abbreviated rite), in 2013 he was diagnosed with a disabling pathology.

Marijuana, explained Olianas, reduces spasms and above all it was prescribed to him by specialists. The drugs that he can buy legally are not enough. Olianas' position hasn't changed an inch: « I do it without hiding and the police have come here four times to take care of my plants . The question I ask is this: is it right to take a drug off a sick person?».

In the next hearing, the investigating judge will decide on the abbreviated version.
