Accident on State Road 130: a mother and two children injured, an 8-year-old girl in a coma
According to the first investigations, the car would have been rear-ended by a van
Serious accident on Statale 130, near Decimomannu : two children were involved, among others .
They were in the car with their 40-year-old mother. An 8-year-old girl is in a coma , intubated in the Brotzu intensive care unit: the prognosis is reserved. The mother and the other 4-year-old boy were also injured: they were taken to the hospital in code red but their lives are not in danger .
The accident occurred shortly before 5 pm, according to an initial reconstruction, the Opel Corsa in which the family was traveling was rear-ended by a Volkswagen Transporter van .
The mother and children were trapped between the sheets and the intervention of the fire brigade was necessary to free them . An ambulance, a medical vehicle, the carabinieri of Decimomannu and Iglesias and the staff of Anas were also on site.
The family lives in Sestu and was probably returning home, the car was traveling in the direction of Cagliari.
