A new hearing was held at the Court of Rome in the trial against Erminio Coni , 38 years old from Terralba, Alessio Costella (36) and Andrea Finotto (38) from Arborea. The three are accused of gang sexual assault against a Paralympic champion.

In the first part of the hearing of the abbreviated trial there was a discussion of the many exceptions raised by the defense then we got to the heart of things and Erminio Coni (defended by the lawyer Giulia Masi) decided to make spontaneous statements to try to clarify his own position by reconstructing what happened in the Trastevere club on 6 February 2022 when, according to the prosecutor's office, together with his friends he had excessively aggressive attitudes towards the Italian athlete, even groping her. Coni declared himself uninvolved in the complaints made , as were the other two friends Alessio Costella and Andrea Finotto (assisted by lawyers Ezio Ullasci, Valerio Martis and Gabriele Bordoni).

The athlete , a civil party with the lawyer Grazia Volo, had instead supported an opposite version before the police. She had reported that she had been harassed by the three while she was going to the pub bathroom: she would have been surrounded and groped . Everything would have happened in a few seconds, without anyone noticing in a very crowded room.

We continue on May 28th and the athlete will appear before the judge.
