A year ago, on September 10, 2023, the terrible accident in Viale Marconi in Cagliari where four very young people between 19 and 24 years old lost their lives: Giorgia Banchero , Simone Picci , Alessandro Sanna and Najibe Zaher .

The latter's mother, Merita Agus, remembered her daughter with a touching message: "A year ago you flew to heaven, leaving mom and dad in a terrible, terrible and immense, indescribable pain", she said in a post on Facebook. "Together with you, our life with all our dreams was shattered. All your life plans, degree, work, marriage and the grandchildren you wanted to give us. It all ended that terrible day. Our hearts are broken, but we are trying to be strong as you always wanted us to be, because we do not want our suffering to in any way hinder your serenity up there. You left an immense trail of love in everyone and we are proud of this. You live in us, we will love you forever ".

Giuseppina Russo, Alessandro Sanna's mother, did the same: « You were a wonderful gift, an immense hug, a joy for anyone who knew you . You are and will be a great and infinite love, continue to protect me. I need you. I miss you».

The initiatives. Twelve months later, in memory of the four victims of the accident, there are several activities organized by relatives and friends. This afternoon, starting at 3 pm in the fields of via Don Bosco in Selargius, over 150 athletes are expected for the 1st Memorial Najibe Zaher , where the presence of Cagliari footballers Simone Scuffet and Gabriele Zappa is also expected. It is organized by Najibe's family and friends. In memory of Sanna, the memorial has been underway since Sunday and will end this evening in the sports center of via Pasolini in Assemini, named after him.
