Muravera , Sardinia, recorded the highest temperature on this hellish day in summer 2026, according to data from the ARPAS network: the thermometer reached 47.3 degrees Celsius. A tenth higher than yesterday's peak in Ollastra, which recorded 47.2.

On the podium of this "hellish" ranking – exacerbated by the wind – are Uta-Santa Lucia and Osini (in Ogliastra), tied for second place, with 46.9 degrees.

The temperature recorded at the Cagliari-Pirri station was also significant, with a maximum of 45.4 degrees.

According to the tables, which are still being updated, there are around fifteen areas that recorded maximum temperatures above 45 degrees today.

Orani confirmed its status as a hotbed of heat, with 45.8 degrees Celsius, Siliqua reached 45.4, and Decimomannu reached 45.2. Temperatures in Dorgali and Oliena reached 45 degrees.
