A serious traffic accident occurred overnight in Villacidro. Two young men in a car went off the road around 4 a.m. while returning home to the town. The two were trapped inside the car, which was deformed by the violent impact, and were only freed by the intervention of firefighters.

Ambulances from 118 also arrived on site and took one of the young men to Brotzu with a red code due to serious chest trauma , while the second young man was taken to the Policlinico - the latter with a red code only due to the dynamics - but his conditions are not reportedly worrying.
