85-year-old accuses 80-year-old of stalking in a town in the Sassari hinterland. The case in question has come to a hearing today in the court in Sassari, in which an elderly widow accused a slightly younger man of having harassed and stalked her between 2016 and 2017 with vulgar phone calls and stalking her outside her home.

A version recounted by the prosecutor Lara Senatore who recalled the telephone “relationship” between the two for several years before the judicial epilogue asking for the acquittal, with a doubtful formula, of the accused. For Salvatore Castronuovo, defense lawyer, what the woman declared does not coincide with what happened. That is, a relationship lived for four years on the telephone, from 2013 to 2017, so as not to arouse gossip in the small town, with the woman who allegedly made several requests for money to the 80-year-old receiving 15 thousand euros in cash in exchange.

But when the man, the lawyer claims, asked for the money back, paid without ever issuing receipts, the old woman slowly disappeared without answering the calls. Finally, having turned to a lawyer, the man sent a demand for payment to the widow, receiving in exchange a complaint for stalking where it was claimed that the man was waiting for her outside her house, drove up and down in front of the 85-year-old's house in his car, but, above all, bombarded her with phone calls.

For the defense, these are accusations not supported by any evidence and, as far as the calls related to 2016 are concerned, it was found that they lasted several minutes, times incompatible with the immediate interruption declared by the lady. The lawyer therefore asked for acquittal because the fact does not exist while the civil party lawyer, Gian Carmelo Serra, confirmed the accusations requesting 10 thousand euros in compensation. Judge Silvia Masala adjourned the hearing to November for replies.
